# 8x8 Voicemail-to-Email Notifications Are Not Being Delivered

## Symptom

MPLS end users are not receiving voicemail-to-email notifications sent by 8x8.

## Applies To

- Voicemail-to-Email Notifications
- MPLS

## Resolution

Add the domains packet8.net, and 8x8.com, or the 8x8 subnets for your region to the MPLS rules that route e-mail traffic, to ensure it will not traverse the MPLS leg to 8x8. For more information, see [X Series Technical Requirements](/support/docs/x-series-technical-requirements).

## Cause

8x8 sends out mail server requests via the public internet. The responses passed through MPLS may create an asynchronous connection which, prevents electronic mail from being delivered to the end user.
