# 8x8 Work Does Not Register Microphone or Video Hardware

## Symptom

When attempting to start or join a meeting in 8x8 Work, the user sees an error which reads, *"Video Error: Requested Device(s) was/were not found: Audio, Video."*

## Applies To

- Work for Desktop
- Windows

## Resolution

Reinstalling your computer's Audio and Video device drivers may resolve this issue. To reinstall your device drivers:

1. Right-click on the **Windows key** in your system tray and search for *Device Manager*.
2. Expand the **Audio Inputs and Outputs menu**.
3. Right-click on each of the items within this submenu and select **Uninstall Device**.
4. Repeat this step for the following sub-menus: Sound, video and game controllers, and any submenus that relate to your Camera or Web Camera hardware.![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/e3a59e39-abd3-4423-964c-0a4008dc5673/Images/Documentation/9162)

## Cause

This issue can occur when the device drivers need an update.
