As part of the onboarding process, you must select your calling method: 1. 8x8 Work Desktop/Web: Use the existing 8x8 Work application for calls. It will require an additional application to facilitate the call. You must have 8x8 Work or equivalent open at the same time as the integration. 2. Softphone: Make calls directly from your browser with audio controls. Make and receive calls from within the integration itself. No need for an additional application to facilitate calls. 2. If selecting Softphone, set your call controls: 1. Microphone — Select which input device to use for your calls (e.g., your built-in laptop mic or a connected headset). 2. Noise suppression level — Choose how aggressively background noise is filtered out during calls (e.g., Low, Medium, High). 3. Automatically adjust mic sensitivity — Toggle on to let the system automatically raise or lower your mic input level as needed, instead of setting it manually. 4. Speakers — Select which output device plays call audio (e.g., built-in speakers or a headset). Use the speaker icon to test the selected device — you should hear a ringtone while testing. 5. 8x8 Test Call — Click Call Testing Service to place a test call and confirm your audio is working end-to-end. If you can hear the prompts but your recorded message doesn't play back clearly, go back and adjust your microphone and volume settings. 4. Click Finish setup 5. If you want to reconfigure these settings or change your calling method later, you can access them again in Settings. ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/e3a59e39-abd3-4423-964c-0a4008dc5673/Images/Documentation/base64-converted-image-1790006760277.png)
