# 8x8 Work Internet Fax Rate-Limiting (Failed to Send)

## Symptom

The 8x8 Work internet fax service fails to send additional faxes while three faxes are simultaneously in progress.

## Applies To

- 8x8 Work
- Internet Fax

## Resolution

Wait to send additional faxes until the first three in progress faxes have successfully sent.

## Cause

Internet faxes are limited to a **maximum of three (3) faxes in parallel per extension.** The fourth fax will fail to send until in-progress faxes are complete. Pending faxes will also be sent out even if three faxes are being sent after the sending attempt hits a maximum time in the sending queue.
