# Assign a New Number to a User in 8x8 Express

## Objective

Changing the phone number of one of your users in 8x8 Manager Express.

## Applies To

- 8x8 Manager Express

## Procedure

1. Log in to [8x8 Manager Express](https://express.8x8.com).
2. From the navigation menu on the left, click **Users and phones**.
3. Click the name of the user you wish to edit.
4. To the right of the phone number, click **Change**.
5. Select a number from the suggested numbers, or enter a new area code and select a number.
6. Click **Confirm**.
7. Click **Save**.
