# Can a user with two phone numbers assigned choose which one they send an SMS message from?

## Question

Can a user with two phone numbers assigned in their 8x8 Admin Console profile choose which one they will send SMS messages from?

- 8x8 Work for Desktop
- 8x8 Work for Mobile
- US, Canada, Australia

## Answer

No, only one phone number at a time may be enabled for SMS in an 8x8 user profile.

Only 8x8 Admin Console administrators may enable SMS for a specific user phone number.

Note that enabling SMS for one number will automatically disable SMS for any other number assigned to the user.
