# Can’t Dial 711 Telecommunications Relay Service From 8x8 Phones

## Symptom

When you dial the short code 711 from an 8x8 phone, you get a fast busy signal.

## Applies To

- 711
- 8x8 Work
- US-Based Accounts

## Resolution

If you have a US-based account, create a case with 8x8 Support to request that 711 be enabled on your account.

> This will enable the short code 711 only.

### Cause

New US customers will have the 711 for Telecommunications Relay Service enabled by default. However, older customers will have it disabled by default.
