Change music on hold in 8x8 Work for Desktop

Objective

Changing your selected hold music through 8x8 Work for Desktop.

Applies to

• 8x8 Work for Desktop

• 8x8 Express

Procedure

1. Log in to 8x8 Work for Desktop.

2. Click Settings.

3. Select Account Settings.

4. Scroll down to Music-on-hold settings.

5. Click Change.

6. Select an existing audio file, or click + Create audio files to record or upload a new audio file.    

   • Uploading an Audio file

     1. Select By Uploading an Audio file.

     2. Give the file a name. Optional: Leave a note for yourself to tell what the file is for.

     3. Click the musical note and browse your computer to find the correct audio file, or drag and drop an audio file onto the screen.

     4. Click Save.

     5. Click Select to the right of the audio file you would like to use.

   • Calling a Number To Record 

     1. Select By Calling a Number to Record.

     2. Give the file a name. Optional: Leave a note for yourself to tell what the file is for.

     3. Type in the Phone Number or Extension you would like it to dial.

     4. Select Call Now.

     5. The system will call you. Follow the prompts to record your greeting.

     6. Select Finished Recording.

     7. Click Save.

     8. Click Select to the right of the audio file you would like to use.        

7. Click Save to update the changes.
