# Create User Group in 8x8 Admin Console

## Procedure:

1. Log in to the [Admin Console](https://admin.8x8.com/)
2. From the Menu ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/e3a59e39-abd3-4423-964c-0a4008dc5673/Images/Documentation/icon-menu_20x18(3).png), go to Work Groups > User Groups.
3. On the User Groups page, click Create User Group in the upper-right corner.
4. Under Group details, enter the group name and a short description. The group name is mandatory to create your new user group.
5. Click Add member to [assign users to that group](/documentation/docs/set-up-user-groups#assign_user_to_a_group).
6. Click Create group.
