# Deactivate a User in 8x8 Admin Console

## Objective

Deactivate a user in Admin Console.

## Applies To

- Admin Console

## Procedure

1. Log in to [8x8 Admin Console](https://sso.8x8.com).
2. Select **Users**.
3. Search for the user you wish to deactivate.
4. Select the 3 dots on the right-hand side of the user's details.
5. 6. > If a user is deactivated, you will not be able to adjust the configuration settings, such as call forwarding. Your options would be to reactivate the user or delete the user.
