## Answer

8x8 extension-to-extension calls do not hit the PSTN carrier. They are classified as internet calls as only the user's ISP gets involved to establish a call connection.

When you receive or make a call to a non-8x8 number, that is classified as an off-net call and involves a PSTN carrier.
