# Enable Windows 10 Notifications for 8x8 Work for Desktop

## Symptom

8x8 Work for Desktop notifications do not show up for Windows 10 users even after enabling these settings in the application itself.

## Applies To

- 8x8 Work for Desktop
- Windows 10

## Resolution

1. Go to **Start** > **Settings** > **System** > **Focus Assist**.
2. Turn off any relevant *Automatic Rules*.

## Cause

The Windows 10 Action Center’s Focus Assist function may suppress notifications either by a hard setting or via automatic rules which are triggered by certain actions.

## Additional Information

If any of the Automatic Rules are needed, please make sure that these are not hiding the 8x8 Work for Desktop application’s notifications.
