# Hide or Unhide a Chat Conversation or Room in 8x8 Work for Desktop

## Objective

Hide or unhide a chat conversation or room from your personal message view in 8x8 Work for Desktop.

## Applies To

- 8x8 Work for Desktop
- Chat

## Procedure

### Hide a Conversation

1. Log in to **8x8 Work for Desktop**.
2. Select **Messages**.

4. Select **Hide Conversation**.
5. You will have the option to hide multiple conversations or rooms if needed by selecting the check box next to each conversation or room.

The conversation is now hidden when selecting the chat section of 8x8 Work for Desktop.

### Unhide a Conversation

4. This will re-open your conversation with the user and they will reappear in the chat section of 8x8 Work for Desktop.

## Additional Information
