# How to Block an SMS Number in Admin Console

## Objective

Block an SMS number company-wide in Admin Console.

## Applies To

- SMS
- Admin Console
- US, Canada, Australia

## Procedure

1. Log in to [**Admin Console**](https://apps.8x8.com).
2. Navigate to **Company**.
3. Click **Blocked SMS**.
4. Click **Add new numbers**.

5. Add the number(s) you want to block, and press the **<Enter>** key on your keyboard to validate the entry.
6. Click **Block**.

The number(s) you've added will then appear in your **Blocked SMS** list. ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/e3a59e39-abd3-4423-964c-0a4008dc5673/Images/Documentation/26086)To remove a number from the blocked list, simply click on the trash can icon for the specific number and then click **Remove** in the confirmation window to complete.
