Grandstream HT814
Grandstream HT818
Steps
To enable or disable the Do Not Disturb (DND) feature from the Grandstream HT812, follow these steps:
How to Toggle DND from the Web GUI:
You will need to log into the web GUI, navigate to the specific port tab (e.g., FXS Port 1 or Profile 1), and look under the Feature Configuration section.
Look for Enable Do Not Disturb (DND) and change the dropdown or radio button to No (or uncheck it).
Scroll to the very bottom, click Save, and then click Apply (or reboot) to push the changes live.
Once disabled here, local DND requests from the attached phone handset will be blocked entirely.
How to Toggle DND Locally on all Grandstream HT Devices:
Instead of a physical button, Grandstream HT devices use star feature codes dialed directly from the attached telephone handset:
To enable DND: Pick up the handset and dial *78 (you will usually hear a confirmation tone, then hang up).
To disable DND: Pick up the handset and dial *79.
Expected result
Following the steps above will enable or disable DND on Grandstream devices.
Additional information
If an end-user accidentally activates DND by dialing *78, and you want to completely stop them from doing it again, go into the HT Web Interface under Advanced Settings, look for the Deactivate Do Not Disturb and Activate Do Not Disturb feature code fields, and delete the *78 and *79 text entirely. This completely strips the device of its feature code capability.
