# How to Repurpose the Meeting Account Without Resetting the License or Account Profile?

## Objective

 Align the 8x8 Meeting URL identity with the extension name without resetting the profile or reactivating the license. This applies to use cases where an administrator changes the extension name, but the 8x8 Meeting URL remains associated with the previous user identity.

 

## Applies To

- Work for Desktop
- Work for Web
- Work for Mobile

## Procedure

#### To customise the 8x8 Meeting URL in 8x8 Work for Desktop/Web

1. Click **Settings** (gear icon).

2. Click Meetings.

3. Proceed to *Personal Meeting Space*
4. Click **Edit**.

5. Enter the desired final path in the *Personal meeting space name* field.
  - This will appear after the company name in the Meeting URL
    - E.g.: https://8x8.vc/companyname/<john.doe>.

1. Click **Save**.

2. A new dialogue box will appear confirming your changes.

3. Click **Meetings** (video camera icon) to validate the changes.

4. You should see the new *Personal meeting space* URL.

#### To customise the 8x8 Meeting URL in 8x8 Work for Mobile

1. Tap on your **Avatar.**
2. Go to **Settings.**
3. Select **Personal Meeting Space.**
4. Tap on the **name** under *Personal Room*.
5. Enter the desired final path in the *Name* field.

1. Tap **OK**.
2. Go back to the main page to validate the changes.
3. Tap **Meetings** (video camera icon).
4. Tap **Start Meeting.**
