Add, remove, import, and review the numbers on your SMS opt-out list.
Overview
The SMS Opt-Out List in the 8x8 Admin Console shows every number that has opted out of receiving SMS messages for your UC SMS campaign. Numbers on this list cannot receive outbound messages from any number in the campaign until they opt back in. This article explains how to view, add, import, and remove numbers on the opt-out list.

Find the Opt-Out List
Log in to the 8x8 Admin Console.
Under Phone System, click SMS.
Scroll to the Opt-Out List section near the bottom of the SMS page. You can also use the Opt-Out List link in the left-hand menu.
The list shows each opted-out number along with the date it was added, the associated user, and the method by which it was added.
How Numbers Are Added
There are three ways a number can be added to the opt-out list:
Recipient opt-out (keyword): A recipient texts an opt-out keyword (such as STOP) to any number in the campaign, which adds their number to the list automatically.
Manual admin add: An admin adds a number directly. Click Add number, enter the phone number and an optional note, and save.
Bulk import: Upload multiple numbers at once (see below).
Import Numbers in Bulk
In the Opt-Out List section, click Import.
Click Download template to get the CSV file. The template uses a header row with one number per row.
Add your numbers to the template and save the file.
Click to upload, or drag and drop your file into the import window.
Click Import.
Search, Filter, and Export
Use the search box to find a specific phone number.
Use the All methods filter to show numbers by how they were added.
Use the download icon to export the opt-out list.
Remove a Number (Opt Back In)
Removing a number from the opt-out list allows campaign numbers to message it again.
Locate the number in the list, using the search box if needed.
Click the delete (trash) icon on that number's row.
You can remove numbers individually, or select multiple numbers to remove them in bulk.
