# Integrating 8x8 and Singlewire InformaCast

## Objective

Register the Singlewire InformaCast server as a 3rd party sip device on 8x8. This document is meant to assist in the registration of Singlewire InformaCast to 8x8, not a full integration between 8x8 and Singlewire InformaCast. If you are interested in learning more about a full integration between 8x8 and Singlewire InformaCast see your 8x8 sales representative to learn more.

## Procedure

InformaCast can register to the 8x8 PBX to enable telephony and “dial to page”/DialCast functionality between the PBX and InformaCast. The Below is all done in the InformaCast Admin Portal.

### Admin > SIP > SIP User Credentials

1. Access InformaCast.
2. Navigate to **Admin** > **SIP** > **SIP User Credentials**.
3. Enter the data received from 8x8.

### Admin > SIP > SIP Server Groups

1. Access InformaCast.
2. Navigate to **Admin** > **SIP** > **SIP Server Groups**.
3. Give a name (8x8).
4. Select either **TCP** or **UDP** for the *Transport Protocol*.
5. Enter the Host and Port and click Add Host.
6. Click **Save**.

### Admin > SIP > SIP Registrations

1. Access InformaCast.
2. Navigate to **Admin** > **SIP** > **SIP Registrations**.
3. Enter a name (8x8).
4. In drop down select the newly created SIP Server Group (8x8).
5. For *Address of Record*, choose "Display Name <sip:user@host>".
6. Check the box to **Enable Registration**.
7. Enter the Host provided by 8x8.
8. Enter the user provided by 8x8 that was created in the SIP User Credentials.
9. Click the button to **Add Address of Record**.
10. Click **Save**.

> IMPORTANT:
> 
> To Allow SingleWire/InformaCast Server to allow accepting calls and doing the needful (Paging other extensions, etc). You would need to allow INCOMING SIP Calls to the server.
