# Set Up Auto-Delete Voicemail on an Extension

## Objective

Setting up auto-delete voicemail to have the voicemail attachment forwarded to the user's email address.

## Applies To

- Admin Console
- Voicemail

## Procedure

1. Log in to [**Admin Console**](https://apps.8x8.com)**.**
2. Select **Users** and locate the desired user.
3. To the right of the user, select **Edit** (pencil icon).
4. Navigate to **Voicemail Settings**.
5. Set the **Notification** action from the drop-down to **Attachment only and delete original voicemail**.
6. Enter an email address.
7. Select **Save**.
