# Unable to Set a 4-Digit Voicemail Password in 8x8 Admin Console

## Symptom

I can't set a 4 digit voicemail password in Admin Console, the message "*Password should have a minimum of 6 digits"* shows up.

## Applies To

- Admin Console
- Voicemail Password

## Resolution

You will need to enter a voicemail password of a minimum of 6 digits.

## Cause

Due to security reasons, the minimum voicemail password length is 6 digits. This is hardcoded in the product and cannot be changed.
