# Unpair a Panasonic Handset from a Non-Working Base

## Objective

Unpair a handset from a non-working base so it can be paired with a new base.

## Applies To

- Panasonic KX-TPA60
- Panasonic KX-UDT131

## Procedure

> Note:
> 
> These devices have reached end of sales and support

1. Confirm Handset is displaying **No Service**.
2. On the Handset, press **Menu**.
3. Select **Setting Handset**.
4. Navigate down and select **System Option**.
5. Select **Cancel Base**.
6. The base should be highlighted. **Press the check button**.
7. Select **Yes**.
8. Confirm the handset display says **Register Unit**.
