# Why do some users still see the password entry for 8x8 Authentication instead of being redirected to their Single Sign-On (SSO) identity provider when 8x8 Authentication is disabled?

## Question

Why do some users still see the password entry for 8x8 Authentication instead of being redirected to their Single Sign-On (SSO) identity provider when 8x8 Authentication is disabled?

## Applies To

- Identity and Security
- Single Sign-On
- 8x8 Authentication

## Answer

Users with Administrator roles can still log in using their 8x8 username and password, even if 8x8 Authentication is disabled. This serves as a backup in case of misconfigurations with third-party SSO.
