# Log out

As an **8x8 Contact Center** supervisor or agent, whenever you are not scheduled to work, you must log out of 8x8 Agent Workspace. If you fail to log out, 8x8 Agent Workspace reports your status incorrectly.

**To log out of 8x8 Agent Workspace:**

1. > Closing the browser containing **8x8 Agent Workspace** may log you out of the application but does not end your session.
