In addition, you can install 8x8 Web Dialer for the ability to click a contact number directly from **Bullhorn** and launch calls in the integration! Depending on the number you call, you go through one of three calling experiences: - [Single match](/documentation/docs/place-calls-in-8x8-work-for-bullhorn#single-match-call): The number you are calling is associated with a single **Bullhorn** contact. By default, single-match calls [bring up contact records via screen pop](/documentation/docs/place-calls-in-8x8-work-for-bullhorn#screen-pop). - [Multiple match](/documentation/docs/place-calls-in-8x8-work-for-bullhorn#multi-match-call): The number you are calling is associated with multiple **Bullhorn** contacts. - [Unknown number](/documentation/docs/place-calls-in-8x8-work-for-bullhorn#unknown-call): The number you are calling is not associated with any of your **Bullhorn** contacts. **Before you start placing calls:** - If your **8x8 Work** extension uses only a softphone, log in to one of the following clients to handle calls: - **8x8 Work for Desktop** app - **8x8 Work for Mobile** app - If your **8x8 Work** extension is assigned with a desk phone, use the call control panel in the application to handle calls. - For a seamless calling experience from **Bullhorn**, [install 8x8 Web Dialer](/documentation/docs/add-click-to-call-to-8x8-work-for-bullhorn), and enjoy the ability to click to call from your **Bullhorn** contact records. ## About screen pop During an inbound or outbound call, **8x8 Work for Bullhorn** tracks if the other party on the call is an existing contact by searching the **Bullhorn** contact database. On finding a single matching record, it presents the record for you to preview and prepare for the call. This process is commonly referred to as **screen pop**. ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/e3a59e39-abd3-4423-964c-0a4008dc5673/Images/Documentation/screen-pop-inbound-call.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T23%3A04%3A38Z&se=2026-11-04T00%3A04%3A38Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=G2%2BYFfBPSX9eV4zC1887gbxxlB2ft96LLzMHCOcqs%2BI%3D) > [!NOTE] > Note: > > In your integration **Settings** ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/e3a59e39-abd3-4423-964c-0a4008dc5673/Images/Documentation/icon_Settings_18x18.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T23%3A04%3A38Z&se=2026-11-04T00%3A04%3A38Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=G2%2BYFfBPSX9eV4zC1887gbxxlB2ft96LLzMHCOcqs%2BI%3D), **screen pop** is enabled by default under **Integrations > Bullhorn**. ## Place single-match calls If you are calling a contact in **Bullhorn** who has a unique phone number assigned to them, you can smoothly transition into logging the call once the call ends. > [!NOTE] > Note: > > If your extension does not use a desk phone, when you place a call, your softphone rings first.
