We have introduced the following enhancements and changes in **8x8 Microsoft Integration**: ### WebRTC calling capability in Skype for Business Through a new setting in your integration, take advantage of a more efficient calling experience than ever before! With WebRTC calling enabled, you can place and receive 8x8 calls in **Skype for Business** without needing to be logged in to **8x8 Work for Desktop** or **8x8 Work for Mobile**. You do not have to be logged in to be able to place or receive calls with the integration. For details, see our content on: - [Enabling WebRTC calling in settings](/documentation/docs/tour-the-skype-for-business-integration-panel#settings). - [Placing and receiving calls in the integration](/documentation/docs/msintegration-handle-calls-with-skype-for-business). ## Known issues - Version 6.0.0 of the plug-in contains an issue that can prevent **Single Sign-On** from working properly in **Outlook**; in order to log in as a user enabled for **Single Sign-On**, [update to version 6.0.1](/documentation/docs/install-outlook-integration-as-a-user). - The plug-ins for version 6.0 do not support the ability to view 8x8 contact presence in **Skype for Business**. To view 8x8 contact presence in **Skype for Business**, [update to version **6.1.2** of the **Skype for Business8x8 Work** plug-in](/documentation/docs/install-skype-for-business-integration). ## Previous releases **Release 6.1** - **New 8x8 Work Skype for Business plug-in**: Upgrade to an all-new app that combines your calling experience with **Skype for Business** and the power of **8x8 Work**! Simply click the **8x8** tab on the side to open your integration panel and log in with your **8x8 Work** extension, and you are ready to manage calls in an all-new experience with **Skype for Business**. Unlike past versions of **8x8 Work** integration with **Skype for Business**, the newest version of the **8x8 Work Skype for Business** plug-in functions regardless of which version of the desktop app you have installed. **Release 6.0** - **New plug-ins for version 6 of 8x8 Work for Desktop**: With the release of version 6.0 of **8x8 Work for Desktop**, we bring you new plug-ins tailored to work with the latest version of **8x8 Work**! These plug-ins are independent of each other, rather than bundled together.
