Call using preferred devices in 8x8 Work for Desktop

Objective

Add a new device to make an outbound call within 8x8 Work for Desktop.

Procedure

1. Open 8x8 Work for Desktop. 

2. Click Call Using.

3. Click + Add phone number.

4. Add the phone number and description of the new device. The new device should be an option that can be selected when making outbound calls in Call Using.

5. Click Save.

6. Back on the Call using menu, click to select the newly added device as your outbound calling option.

Note:

This external setting is limited to outbound calling only. Inbound calls will not ring the external device.
