Hide or Unhide a Chat Conversation or Room in 8x8 Work for Desktop

Objective

Hide or unhide a chat conversation or room from your personal message view in 8x8 Work for Desktop.

Procedure

Hide a Conversation

1. Log in to 8x8 Work for Desktop.

2. Select Messages.

3. To the right of the conversation or room you want to hide, select More Options (three dots). 

4. Select Hide Conversation.

5. You will have the option to hide multiple conversations or rooms if needed by selecting the check box next to each conversation or room.

6. Select the Hide button at the bottom. 

 The conversation is now hidden when selecting the chat section of 8x8 Work for Desktop.  

Unhide a Conversation

1. Select the create message icon at the bottom of the chat section. 

2. Select the Message icon. 

3. Searchorscroll the list of users and select the user you wish to unhide the conversation for.
   

4. This will re-open your conversation with the user and they will reappear in the chat section of 8x8 Work for Desktop.

Additional Information

Hiding or unhiding a chat or room only affects your personal message view. Other people in the room or chat will still see the conversation. For more information, see the 8x8 Work for Desktop product documentation.
