Procedure

Adding an Individual User Profile

Creating a user profile in 8x8 Admin Console allows you to assign extensions to users. To add an extension in 8x8 Admin Console, first set up a user profile.

1. Log in to Admin Console.

2. Click Users.

3. On the Users page, click Create User.
   

4. Under Basic Information, complete the required fields.

   • First name

   • Last name

   • Email

   • Username

5. Select the Site for the user from the Site drop-down. Note: The above fields are manadatory and are required before you can assign Services and Extensions.

6. Select the Language for the user from the Language drop-down.

   • Optional: Click Show More and enter the following:

     • Job Title

     • Department

     • Address where the user will primarily be using 8x8 services

     • Personal Contact Number

7. To move on to assigning Services and Extensions, see Assign User Services and Extensions in 8x8 Admin Console. Otherwise, click Save.

Adding User Profiles in Bulk

Note:

The Bulk Upload tool is only for creating new Users. It cannot be used to modify existing Users.

1. From the Users page, click Bulk Upload.
   

2. Download either the Basic or Advanced template.

   • Note:

     The Advanced user template shows which fields are required and which fields are optional.

3. Enter multiple users' information into the downloaded.CSV template.

4. Save the template and drag and drop or upload it to Admin Console.
   

5. Click Upload & process.
