Add or Remove Security Question for 8x8 Password Recovery

Objective

Add a security question to the password recovery process. This question will be presented anytime a password reset is initiated, and a correct answer will be required before being allowed to proceed with setting a new password.

Procedure

1. Log in to your 8x8 Application Panel.

2. Click your login icon.

3. Click Settings.

4. Select a security question from the Question dropdown menu. To remove the security question requirement, select --none--.

5. In the Answer field, type the answer to the question you selected. Your answer is case- and punctuation-sensitive.

6. Click Save.

This setting can be changed at any time. If the answer to the security question is forgotten, create a case with 8x8 Support. The profile will need to be disabled and a new profile needs to be created.
